When God Winks at You

How God Speaks Directly to You Through the Power of Coincidence

Those extraordinary little events in your life happen for a reason…

The short of the long…. this book is AWESOME!!!!

It was a great, refreshing read.  There can often be weeks… even MONTHS between the time I purchase and read any particular book.  I purchase when my heart is pricked, and read when my spirit is lead.  I received a personal “God-Wink” the moment I cracked the pages.

For a little personal background, I started the blog to help me build the framework for my first book.  The plan is to fill the book with events and circumstances that have taken place in my life (and a few friends…with permission, of course) that could have only been acts of God.  This book is EXACTLY THAT!!!  It blessed me to read about how others have cried out to God for closure, comfort, or confirmation and He delivered in a way only they could understand… almost as if he wrote the answer to their prayers in the sky!  It gives an account to people who received and unction from the Holy Spirit, and their willingness to comply allowed them to be in the right place at the right time to fulfill a specific duty.

“The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD.” -Psalm 37:23a (KJV)

I laughed, cried, held my breath in anticipation, and gave thanks to the creator from cover to cover.  It is a quick, inspiring read to confirm that your “weird” moments have a purpose, and that “voice inside your head” knows what it’s talking about!!

There is a reason you took a different route that time, a reason it seems like God hasn’t answered your prayer,… a reason you have an undying dream deep in your heart, and why you can’t seem to figure out why the little thing mattered.  God is simply speaking to you in terms only you can decipher.  It may not make sense to you or those around you.  Just remember, you were placed in the earth with PURPOSE!!  Even if you haven’t found it, God has YOU on the path of discovery :D .  I think you should grab the book…. your reading this entire post wasn’t a coincidence…. #ImJustSaying

“A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps.” Proverbs 16:9 (KJV)

Things Moms Say….

http://bouquets.brdl.net/asiatic-lilies-bridal-bouquet-805.html

Yes, Mother’s day is Sunday May 13th (in case you didn’t know or FORGOT)!!!!  Your mom has been too good to you to receive a card that has been beat up from all the people who went through them YESTERDAY (lol)!!!  Maybe you should remind her of a few things that she has DEFINITELY said during her tenure… As a woman I’ll probably say a few of these same things to my chaps…  And we say that we’ll never “say these things to our kids” or “treat our kids this way” …. #LiesandDeceit :-) !!!

______________________________________________________________

Here is a list of the most common and popular “mom-isms”. These motherly advise transcends the borders of time, space, language and culture. For kids are kids everywhere and Mom are always Mom…caring, concern, all-knowing and full of love.

  • Money does not grow on trees.
  • I brought you into this world, and I’ll for sure take you out!*
  • Don’t make that face or it’ll freeze in that position.
  • WHAT DID I SAY!*
  • If I talked to my mother like you talk to me….
  • Always change your underwear; you never know when you’ll have an accident.
  • I’m the mother, you’re the child.*
  • Be careful or you’ll put your eye out.
  • Don’t make me grab my belt!*
  • What if everyone jumped off a cliff? Would you do it, too?
  • You’re a leader, not a follower.*
  • You have enough dirt behind those ears to grow potatoes!
  • If I have to tell you ONE MORE TIME!*
  • Close that door! Were you born in a barn?
  • If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all.
  • Let the door knob hit you where the good Lord split you!*
  • Don’t put that in your mouth; you don’t know where it’s been!
  • I pay the cost to be the boss!!*
  • Be careful what you wish for, it might come true.
  • This hurts me more than it hurts you.*
  • Don’t eat those, they will stunt your growth.
  • Don’t make me call your daddy!*
  • I mean what I say, and say what I mean!*
  • What’s meant to be, is meant to be. (Mom only used this when something bad happened or when you experienced a disappointment.)
  • It doesn’t matter what you accomplish, I’ll always be proud of you.
  • I hope that when you grow up, you have kids “Just Like you”! (Also known as the “Mother’s Curse”)
  • I’ll be all over you like white on rice!!*
  • Because I’m your mother that’s why!!
  • You’ll never get to old to lean across this knee!*
  • What did R. Kelly say… “If the shoe fits”!*
  • Most importantly, I LOVE YOU!!!*

Celebrate with a mother this weekend. They have the hardest job on earth, raising us!

Figuring Things Out….

Okay, the blog thing has been a continuous work in progress…. I thought I could create pages and post specific topics under those pages, but er uhhhh, NOT QUITE!!! So, I’ve had to delete some pages and move a post or two… Nothing major, just keeping your informed :D . Everything is still accessible. #ThatisAll!!

Fighting Fear With Faith

“You never realize how crippled you’ve become because of “fear” until you come out of it.”

It may sound slightly unorthodox, but I have to conquer the fear of potential.  It is seemingly an oxymoron to encourage others to fight for their dreams and pursue purpose, when I live in fear of what would happen if I’d simply let go and completely pursue mine.  WHAT am I AFRAID of?! Could it really be potential?  Clearly its the only obvious answer; something that doesn’t even have a definitive existence.  So, in short, I’ve been afraid of “nothing”!!!  The irony lies in the fact that this “nothing” can easily be manifested into failure,… rejection,… and worst case….. GREATNESS!!

I cannot let the subjective nature of potential keep me from LIVING!!  There are several things that MUST get done, and I have no choice but to continue walking, trusting, and believing that He will fulfill all the promises He made to me…. I just have to continue moving forward in FAITH, conquering fear.

Hebrews 11:1 (KJV)  “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

It is impossible to pursue my HOPES dreams without faith (Duh!  It’s the substance of things HOPED for!)!!!…. It’s that simple :) .

Hebrews 11:6 (KJV)  ”But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

God is NEVER Wrong…

God is NEVER Wrong

Everything happens with purpose in mind.

I received this in an e-mail from a family member… Sometimes when we ask “why?” or get upset about what God allows, just remember He knows the purpose and plan. Quick, encouraging read.

A king who did not believe in the goodness of God, had a slave who, in all circumstances would say: My king, do not be discouraged, because everything God does is perfect, no mistakes!

One day they went hunting and along the way a wild animal attacked the king. His slave managed to kill the animal, but could not prevent his majesty from losing a finger.

Furious and without showing his gratitude for being saved, the nobleman said…

“Is God good? If He was good, I would not have been attacked and lost my finger.”

The slave replied only “My king, despite all these things, I can only tell you that God is good, and he knows the “why” of all these things. What God does is perfect. He is never wrong!”

Outraged by the response, the king ordered the arrest of his slave.

Later, he left for another hunt and was captured by savages who made human sacrifices.

While on the altar, ready to sacrifice the noble, the savage found that the victim had a missing finger and so he was released. According to them, he was not complete enough to be offered to the gods.

Upon his return to the palace, the king authorized the release of his slave to whom he said very affectionately:

My dear slave, God was really good to me! I was almost killed by the wild men, but for lack of a single finger, I was let go! But I have a question: If God is so good, why did he allow me to put you in jail?

My King, if I had gone with you in this hunt, I would have been sacrificed for you, because I have no missing finger.

Therefore, remember: everything God does is perfect. HE is never wrong .

Often we complain about life and the negative things that happen to us, forgetting that nothing is random and that everything has a purpose.

Every morning, offer your day to God. Ask God to inspire your thoughts, guide your actions, to ease your feelings. And do not be afraid. God is never wrong!

Do you know why you read this message??? I do not know, but God knows, because he never makes mistakes…….

The path of God and his word is perfect, without impurities. It is the way of all those who trust in him, as he says in 2 Samuel 22: 31.

Surely this message arrived at the right moment. May God put in your heart the desire to send it to someone. Do not be ashamed like or share. God knows, He knows why.

God is never wrong!
